| Description of the problem | Takata recall i received recall notices on may and august 2016 from mercedes benz usa to replace the driver's side and passenger side airbags which states that they may rupture due to excessive internal pressure, likely to occur if vehicle is exposed to high levels of absolute humidity for extended periods of time, possibly causing serious injury or death. I live in south florida and the temps have been in the 100s with off the charts humidity every month! I live in fear of driving my car and dying in an airbag explosion. Weekly calls to the mercedes dealer said they don't have the parts yet! My husband's 2007 honda ridgeline was replaced immediately. Could you please explain why it's taking so long to fix this dangerous defect for my car? Thank you. |
